Best traveling tips for Regarding a Passport

The most important thing to take care of while traveling is your Passport. If it gets lost then your vacation may convert into a nightmare and it will not be easy to get out of the stress and frustration. It will be more harmful if you have gone to spend your holidays to any unknown distant location. Thus passport with other legal papers and crucial documents should not be missed and no carelessness should be taken while packing your bags. 

It is always said to do the proper research of the destination where you have decided to go and should make a list before you start packing and the very first thing should be your Passport. Here are the important tips to prevent the passport problems.
  1. First of all check whether the place you are heading to requires a passport or not. But more than 70% of the countries require passport.
  2. If you are the person applying for the passport very first time then apply for it 90 days before and for the renewal process it should start 8 to 11 months before the expiry of your passport.
  3. You should be alert while filling up the passport application form and whether it is correct or not. Better to take the help of your friends or relatives. Errors on the form can lead to rejection or in the delay of your passport.
  4. You should submit all the asked documents before asking for the passport and carefully sign the passport application check. A completed Passport Application Form (DS-11), proof of U.S. citizenship (certified birth certificate, expired passport, certificate of naturalization or consular report of birth), personal identification bearing your photograph and signature, e.g., a valid driver's license, two recent passport-sized photographs, a check or money order for the appropriate amount.
  5. When you get your passport you should check that all the details entered in it are correct or not.
  6. Make the 2 copies of your passport and photos and keep them with your trusted friend or relative who can be contacted during the time of emergency. 
  7. When you are away then always keep the passport in the safe places so that it might not get lost. You should not keep it in the hotel, car, bag or purse but keep them in money belt or coat pocket. 
  8. Do not lay them here and there carelessly. 
  9. Never ever let anyone leave your presence while you are getting your passport examined at the airport, at the custom or during security checkup.
  10. Never let one person hold all the passports when you are traveling in groups with your friends or family.
  11. Still if gets lost then you should immediately contact for the loss of passport to the embassy or passport office or police.
  12. And even after returning to your home check it again, check for its renewal process before expiry date and store it in a safe place.
